Well , when i got my 79 my father got a 78 from literaly(spelling?) in a barn. P.O. had started a redo then it sat for ten years. We trailered it home with as many parts as we could find scattered about the place and he proceeded to start to work. He just turned 73 and is doing pretty good on it so far. Pulls up a chair beside it and starts sanding then moves down a spot and continues. I help him with anthing big or akward but other than that its all him. Ive gotten a few parts for him on Ebay and here and yesterday for the fisrt time in ten years it moved under its own power. He drove it around the neighborhood. now hes starting to work on the hood (rust holes) and other stuff. the only thing he says want is power steering (guess what I,ll be doing for him soon). Now my son whos about to turn 16 wants a 40. guess itll be a 3 generation cruiser family. Anyway heres some of his progress.
