what amperage fusible link is in a 73 fj40

I don't have a number for you but possibly information that will allow you to get the right size. A fusible link is like a fuse and as such is sized to protect the cable size. If you have the size of the cable you can look up the amperage it can handle. This should allow you to get a fusible link that will blow before the wire would burn.
