I just purchased a BJ74 and new to ih8mud. I currently have 89 4Runner with kit from Softopper. Softop is a must have for my BJ74. Been looking high & low for top for it. Is the top Joe posted above available? Price? To answer Joe's initial question: I'm very interested. All help welcome. (Apologies in advance as I will certainly be posting additional Qs about the 74 as I get deeper into owning it).
Cool ..... Another 70 Series in the State of Georgia.

If there is enough interest in these I will sacrifice my top and have it copied.

Interested!!!

By my count that's 5-6 "interested" parties. I feel the scales tipping towards a production run! Let's make this happen.

The container with the top in it just got loaded in the port of Antwerp, eta is somewhere at the end of August.

I am gonna install it on my HZJ73 then and bring it to the 70 series meet and great in September , if you are there you can check it out in person.

If enough interest I can start working on the copies over the winter so they can be ready for next spring.

Joe

Now I have to attend the meet and greet...

I'm in Boulder. If you want to make it a trip, let me know.
HOLY SCHNIKES! Did the illustrious @beno just offer up companionship for a cross country 70 series cannonball run to TN?! This has quickly turned from "ain't gonna happen" to "I can't pass this up".

Beno, if you're serious I'm going to do everything I can to make this work. Do you want to be Thelma or Louise, Wyatt or Billy, Lloyd or Harry?

25 best road trip movies ever

PS-Your rig or mine? If mine, I could use some help sorting a few mechanical issues in the next couple months, paid of course ;)

PPS-Sorry to hijack your soft top thread Joe.

Oops, sorry for the double post

I was suggesting you and I both drive our vehicles across the country.

And I'm just a parts guy. I don't know anything about anything. Trust me.

Drop a line if you are serious.

Yeah, it doesn't look very good to me either.

Also I am not really a fan of the convertible-like function of it. More of a "zippers-n-flaps" kind of guy.

On another note: the brake lights on that cruiser don't look legal.

Those rear lights are the only legal ones in Europe, the ones you see in other markets become invisible when the doors are opened and therefore not legel in Europe.Only the 1985 and a few 1986 Cruisers where sold with the lights in the body ,all the later ones had them in the rear bumper.Worst place to be for lights in countries where they use salt on the roads in winter time :(
