72 FJ40 passenger Vent window removal (2 Viewers)

I have read some previous post on this issue with later model. I seem to have a different config than the '79'. I have removed the top hinge and the Bottom nut and spring. I find no screw in the channel that has been mentioned There is something just above the channel that I can't show in this picture that is holding the door "bolt " in place so I am unable to remove vent window. Appreciate any advice on this

You cannot get to the pivot stop and the nylon washer "above the flange" unless you pull the window frame out of the door.

Dumb question, but how do you remove the stopper? I have the two upper screws removed, the nuts and spring, but can't seem to remove the window from the frame because of the stopper "above the flange"... maybe rusted and need more torque or am I missing something?

The stopper is a slip fit on the shaft, but in your case, rust has bound it to the shaft.

Copious amounts of penetrating oil and buffing the rust off of the shaft below the stopper.

I know the image quality is not all that good, but for a 45 year old media, well you get the picture. At least you can see what your dealing with, or if anything is missing.
