For Sale 72 FJ40 Frame off Restored / Durango CO

Entire vehicle disassembed, sand blasted and restored by a body shop in Carrollton, TX. (nccautobody.com)

I am in the process of moving from DFW to Durango CO.
The vehicle will be in Durango on 8-2-12 at which point I will bolt on all the other small parts not photographed.

Floors, Rear Sil, and corners at sil have been replaced with solid steel due to rust. All other components on the vehicle are original and completely restored.

No top, No doors.

Vehicle has original engine with 86k original miles. The engine runs great so there was no need for a rebuild. I have maintenance records and oil change recipts. I am the second owner of the car.

The windshield frame, rear barn doors, and grill bezel is not photographed, but is painted and will be bolted on soon.
Brand new alternator, starter, 3 point seatbelts, and HFS suspension are on the vehicle.
Seats were restored and re upholstered and will be bolted in as well.

This is a great opportunity to get a great 40 with all the hard work already done. I would be hard pressed to get an an unrestored 40 to this point and spend less than what I am asking for this car. I would estimate an additional 5k would get you a PERFECT 100% complete restored 40 worth 25k+

I'm a little confused.....?

You say in your ad No Top No Doors, yet they are seen in the first picture?

Then you state Barn doors to be bolted on? On to what if there is no top?

Top and front doors were sold after I got it home and before I started the restoration.

Barn doors are short and bolt on to the tub and work with the hatch style top.

You are thinking of ambulance doors which bolt to the top and the tub (which did not come until later year models)

Is it completely assembled? Am I missing something? The resto looks to be quality work. Too bad it doesn't have a matching restored top.

Talked with this fellow on the phone, the truck is unassembled, not counting what you see in the pictures plus what he said he would be putting on when it makes it to CO. Tires are rollers and the wiring harness will be left out. Seems like a good guy.

I thought I was told the wiring harness was included. I may be interested but I would need to have it shipped and it is a bit unsettling not getting full information and/or answers to my questions. This lackadaisical approach scares me. Will I get what I expect???? Will it be ready and shipped in a safe, secure and timely manner?????

Anyway it would be most beneficial to both parties if it was clearly documented what is and is not included as well as what is done and yet to be done. Anyone document this based on conversations??

Just thought that would help any potential buyers as well as the seller. Just my meaningless opinion........

The wiring harness is included... Just not installed...
Instead of trying to discredit the thread you should just ask... or better yet read the previous entries more closely.

It's pretty simple really.
back seats, top and doors... not included.
everything else is included.
if it is photographed... it has been restored.

I'm sorry you felt that I was trying to discredit the thread. I in no way had that intention. You appear to be an honest individual. Reading through a bunch of different threads posted by various individuals is a little more confusing than one thread with all the details from the owner themselves.

If I have any other questions I will contact you directly. I guess if it was shipped it would have to be enclosed since it has no top.
