We are going to cut out and replace that rear sill. PO decided random channel iron was appropriate.

Nice man,you are going to town on that thing.Looks like a real good one to start with.
What are your plans for the engine and drivetrain?
Really like the stock wheels!

Engine...
Undecided - I have an extra fully rebult 1F engine sitting around all painted an pretty... but, the engine that is in it is original, all maint records avail, and still a strong runner... sooooo not sure yet if i want to swap the engine unnecessarily. ----- Suggestions welcome

Drive train...
Power washer, Simple Green.. then maybe a coat of black paint.

My suggestion...change the fluids, give it a full tune up, and drive it!!
Very nice rig and nice work!!! Not messing around!

I know this may sound like a dumb question but, what did you use to remove the paint? grinder with what kind of pad? It doesn't look like a wire wheel was used but my monitor isn't clear

Good looking 40. I'm at about the same stage you are right now. I'm replacing the drivers floor pan in my 1970 40. I've POR'd the frame and going to try and get the motor back on today.

Do you have a build up thread started? I love seeing pics of what others have done to their 40.

I guess slow progress is better than no progress.

Ended up keeping the original engine; went with a 4" HFS Lift.
Paint is John Deer Black ... oh and extensive degreasing, sanding, and prep.

Very nice, IMO you've got alot done since August.

 da bling

No kidding. What in the heck are you gonna do with no rust?

I'd slap lose my mind. I guess you could always hope for an electrical gremlin or two to keep you busy once it's back together.

It looks great by the way. Keep up the good work!
