700r4 With 3spd Transfer Case? (1 Viewer)

I have a '76 FJ40 with a turbo 400 transmission right now. I've been looking for a new transfer case to replace my cracked one. I found a transfer case off of a '61 with a 3 spd transmission, local and cheap. I was wondering what the difference would be in the 4spd vs. the 3spd. Will it work okay on a 700r4 that I'll be installing as soon as I pick up the t-case, or do I need different adapters?

Check AA site to confirm. My understanding is
they use different adaptors.
