Does anybody here have experience with them?

I've have made contacts with importers who bring in from Japan, Canada, Spain etc (all keeping an eye out for me while I continue to search as well). I am now talking to someone who is trying to start importing 40 series from Costa Rica into Miami and said they come across 70's as well. Crushers had a run in with the lady on one of the 40's they were importing and from what I've read he has had bad luck with South American Cruisers.

Curious of the pros and cons of possibly finding a 73/74/75/77 from Costa Rica?

Cheers,
Nigel

edit* was the 13b-t ever sold there? I've only seen the bj73 and the other turbo diesel engine, never a 13b-t.

I don't think you could source a 13B-T from CR that easy .. I mean they are rare specimens even here in Panama ..

Note: Costa Rica is Cental America .. ;)

Get an idea of the prices of Cruiser in Costa Rica that we have a huge market of Costa Rica Guys importing Cruisers from Panama to Costa Rica ..

I live in Nicaragua and bought a 78series (Ambulance/Troop Carrier) new in 2004 for $29,995 with winch, snorkel, bull bar and better wheels.
Today the same car is around $45,000 - 50,000
You can find used 70 series pick-up trucks for around $15,000 - 18,000 here, but this country is rough on it's cars. I figure a mile in Nicaragua is like 5 miles in the US looking at the life span of a car... :)

all i can say is "shop safe".
plan on a plane ticket to check out the potential truck BEFORE you put coin down.

Dunno your case or CR case .. ( all road are most potholes .. ) but Panamá country is tuff but folks ( owners ) are by far worse ..

Bingo .. ! best advice today ..

Take a look here first .. ( there is a encuentra24 site per country so you can repeat this search I made for Toyota in Panamá for CR too )

http://www.encuentra24.com/panama-es/autos-usados#search=f_make.Toyota

that would give you a good idea about what you can found here and prices around .. keep in mind that Panamenians are not in regular basics the most fair guys when dealing used cars ..

so are you saying Panamenians ARE trust worthy or are NOT trust worthy ...:hhmm:
just to be clear.;)
