The owner's manual for my 1974 says top speed is 63mph.
I had my 2F (from a '75) rebuilt 3 years ago. Since then I've put 9000 miles on it having driven mostly 50 - 62 mph. Once or three times hit 70+ but I don't want to do that much. It's stock except for a MAF header and 31" tires.
I notice a major difference in engine strain and gas mileage with a headwind vs. a tailwind though.
When I got it, back in the early Eighties, I would routinely run it at 70, 75, sometimes 80 mph on the Gulf freeway, but I was young and a bit reckless...
