I missed the one on the passenger's floor. But it has the later three speed not the original side shifter:frown:

John

No doors, and the tub has been altered, waiting for answers under the hood, but as it sits, not worth the drive for me. :grinpimp:

Did anyone get any more pictres from this guy? I have been watching it for a few days and he is about 300 miles from me so not too far. Just didnt know if the wife would go for it.

Any advice would be great. I know the bows are worth $300, and the other small parts have to be worth at least the bid amount now. ($500)

Think its the same cruiser as b/f? I remember watching that one too. Too much $ before.

When did the centered diff switch to offset??

Not much additional information provided by owner. Let me know if you're going to bid on it, I was going to throw something at it toward the end, but won't if you want it.

No additional pics provided by the owner, no clue if it's original under the hood. There are no soft top doors. The over door bows are there. Centered rear isn't worth anything, used up to '63 ?

Remember the bows only fit up to '64 you cannot use them on later rigs. Price? No one is selling an early set that I know of, so you would get to set your own.

As parts, I was thinking maybe $750 total, but I've got $300 in fuel and expenses to pick it up so I'm probably out.

He just responded to me as well. Looks like it is the same truck or seems to be from the seller. He definately didnt give alot of info.

- Welder pictured doesnt go with it. :) Figured I would ask to make sure.
- Says he will hold it for 2 weeks.
- Body is just sitting ont he frame.
- He does have the other bows as mentioned above.
- It does run and idle (was last run 4 mo ago)

Any more advice would be great. Sounds like with a little work it could be a decent little 40 to run around in. I have been thinking about getting a stock as I can find 40 to drive around. I am still debating on bidding on it. Your in Sav right?

Nah, I'm in CT. It's all yours, fix it up and run it, good candidate for that. Doors would be easy to make. ;)

Too high for me already---I was thinking $1K or less. Guess I wontn have to explain to the wife what I won while she wasnt here. :) Those conversations are always interesting.

I guess I'm on the wrong side of the rockies. Or is it because it's not a soft top.

:lol:No one knows a bargain John. You could always Ebay it, not give any real information, and see what it brings.:)

Seriously, I would have been after the bows, hubcaps, hoodstrip, steering wheel and anything else under the hood that I could use. That would be a pretty good tub up here, for someone else......... ;p

I would have if I hadn't been out of town when it was on ebay......... it was close enough to make it worth my time, plus I am a sucker for the early 40s :grinpimp:

I just hope who ever got it knows what they have
