60 Series Toys/Models?

Just joined the forum to ask you guys if any of you have collected (or know of) any 60 Series Landcruiser toys or models?

I had an FJ62 for many years, and have a lot of nostalgia for it.

But I've always wondered why there are so many 40 series toys (Matchbox cars etc) out there, and so few 60 series. There are like... none! Or so it seems.

And yet at the same time, a lot of TV shows and movies feature main characters regularly driving around in 60 series Landcruisers - e.g. The OC, Alias, and (I think) even Brokeback Mountain, and many more over the years. So it's a pretty 'visible' old truck.

So does anyone have any 60 series toys, kits, diecast etc?

Btw, I also really enjoyed reading the Paris Dakar thread, as I grew up kinda dreaming that the family Landcruiser "could" go in the Paris-Dakar if we wanted (kids, eh?). And I'm a bit of a toy collector, of old R/C models, so if you like those check out my sig link sometime.

It was just last night my son and I were driving in my 62 while he had a toy truck he was playing with in his car seat and he said: "Daddy I have Land cruiser too! Daddy have one, I have one."

I haven't even begun searching for one for him but this post was perfectly timed.

Every time I go into toy shops I always look thru the 100's of toy cars they have and never came across a 60 series or any Land Cruiser, so where are they, I'd like to know too.

So to those who have them please post up your pics and where you get them

Nice! Those are like collector quality though. Those would be more of a special gift to my son than an everyday toy...then again if its TLC quality it'll be indestructible!

I saw one once. It was in the parts department of a dealership many, many years ago. I looked at it, but decided nt to buy it. Maybe a week later I changed my mind and went back for it. It was gone. The guy behind the counter said they almost never had any i stock. I looked for one every time I went there, never saw it again.

Surprising combo, FJ60 body w/ same color scheme & wheels as my first FJ55.

Not a 60 but a cool 80. Paid $10 for it off craiglist. Im also looking for a 60. Not for that price though
