@dnp took me to school tonight on polishing paint.

I'm a couple weeks from finishing the 40 and when it's a runner the 60 is going in the shop for a spa treatment.

He polished the top of a fender and 1/3 of the hood

Wow.

Awesome

DNP is our club "Turd Polisher" and a damn good un!

I got the underside of the 60 pressurewashed while my Trailer was air drying.

I'm gonna start spraying that wicked toxic rust blocker Sunday.

To Do:

Frame treat
Rotate tires
Rear brakes
Maybe a birf repack. Maybe.

Polish. Wax. Clean.

PSA for the day, if you're rebuilding a split-case, make sure you have a pilot bearing removal tool Or you will be finishing it the next day... No bread trick for this little b***h

@Bama4door came down today so we could fumble thru the rebuild. Just lack this bearing and we should be ready to throw the idler in and button everything up so he can jam it back up under his 62. Then I'm gonna get his notes and see how hard it would be to stuff one into the brown 80. :)

@jynx thanks again for the help! We'll get it finished up tomorrow.

After we finish up the split case, I just need to bolt up the trans/case to the bell housing, mock up the crossmember and weld in the new supports, then hook up the clutch fork/slave/clutch line and driveshafts and it should be almost complete.
