Ok, here is my 3rd Land Cruiser,

1. Year and model of vehicle - 1988 FJ62 that came out of a time machine. This is my third Land Cruiser, but, first 60 series.
2. Name of owner - Harry
3. Name of vehicle (optional) - ---
4. Mileage on the odometer - 63K original miles
5. Modifications, if any - No mods, I added Sirius radio through direct wire modulation of the stock stereo.
6. How you use the truck? - I just bought the truck. I believe it was a great find. Original paint and interior, no rust, everything works and the motor is super strong. I plan to use it for light 4 wheeling, snow skiing, camping, and towing my dirt bike trailer.

Beauty. Keep her stock and preserved.

Yeah, I know... but, its tough... I already put 1000 miles on her doing trips, driving to work... With this stock setup, and original fresh motor, I am really pleasantly surprised with the engine power. She will pull 85,90 mph going up steep grades, whether people are in the car or not. I still really need my radar detector. I pulled the plugs and they were a thing of beauty, perfect coloring, and they had been in there a while because the edges were slightly rounded. Also, mileage has been excellent, way better than I thought, but, I drive alot of highway..

Actually, the vintage stock look is surpisingly cool... The original metallic 2 color paint job is stunning. is It gets alot of attention from girls, which is always a very, very good thing. :steer:

I went to a couple of local car shows at the drive ins and people really liked it.

For now, I'm not doing much to it, I am stuck with those new Michelins, maybe I'll throw some seat covers on to protect the seats... Thanks for the good comments guys.

My First 60!

1. 1987 FJ60
2. Jason
3. Well, my parents call in the "GrandCruiser" because they wanted a grandchild and I got this instead...
4. 176K original miles
5. The first mods: New BFG 31x10.5 tires; the interior is like new, so I also added brown Tuff Duck covers to keep the seats in perfect good shape.
6. Camping, flyfishing, light expo rig. I've had it for a coupe of weeks, and put about 400 miles on it. It got a full shakedown and maintenance from Mudraks and its running great. I'll add an OME lift soon. And, an H55 is also likely in the long run, :hmm:

More and bigger pics. The first few are from the previous owner the last are after I added new tires: 1987 FJ60 Land Cruiser
