When building up the HJ60 I put the OME heavy duty 2 inch lift on-that was about 2 years ago. I am happy with the ride in general, and how the truck sits when not fully loaded. I do not think the leafs are sagging at this point.
However, I am not happy with the springs when loaded up for camping/expedition running. With the roof top tent, camping supplies for several weeks, the dog, SROR rear bumper, 2 spares, water and diesel cans, the rear sits significantly lower than the front, to a point where the headlights point upwards.

What are my options? are there stronger rear springs out there? anything off the shelve? custom only?
adding another leaf?

thanks for the help, cheers and happy new year,
Jan

ARB does offer the D2XL spring. It's an extra leaf designed for the rear leaf pack that will give additional load carrying capacity.

If you wanted to go with custom spring packs, I would seriously consider Deaver as they are located in So California and have a good reputation. They can make them to your specs.

You most likely can order an extra full-length leaf for your OMEs. I did this years ago to turn a medium into a heavy. No reason you can't make a heavy heavier. I had some Alcans on my pickup and I wasn't thrilled with them. My brother's bent.

thank you! I'll contact Kurt at cruiseroutfitters. That would be the easiest option.

Jan:

I'd first check your weight. Goto to a truck stop or a bulk garden supply store that has a truck scale. Weigh the front Axle, then Back with the load you expect to carry. Then call Kurt.

I'm in the same boat you are at 6700LBS with me and my gear ready to go. I just ordered the CS005R's for the rear and I'l be adding my existing D2XL's to that. That gives me OME heavy with an overload springs.

Now I have the CS004R's with a D2XL wich equals the CS005R's w/o an overlad srping.. and it sags a bit.
