i suppose. but if the box was built right to begin with, coating it with resin would never be needed. all its gonna do is make the box alot heavier, more fragile, and cost more for materials.
just use MDF, Liquid Nails (or equvalent) at the joints along with screws (predrilled holes ALWAYS) and a small bead of caulking at all the joints on the inside for insurance

for the audiophiles out there or those of you who want to hear the most from any source. You really need to check out JM Focal speakers. It's a french company mostly known for there HiFi home audio speaker line. Anyway, I've have some of there more cost effective Mid/tweeter seperates in my 60 for some time now and let me tell you, I've never heard music as clean, detailed and true in any car as I do now. And that was before i treated the doors and interior with sound damping from Cascade Audio Engineering. Sound Damping is something all cruiser owners should really look into. When I shut the door in my 60 now it's Quiet in side Very quiet. and when the door closes, it sounds solid much like a large BMW would. I've been thrilled with the results but check Em out for your self. Cheers

Also Rainbows are an excellent choice. Handbuilt German audiophile quality. The 6 1/2 components in my doors sound like 8's with the sounddeadening
I hate to bump this but need some input from the gurus.
There is an old school kenwood tape deck, attached to some canton speakers of different sizes (tweeter and mids are seperate in the door), two 6x9's in the back, and equalizer next to the A/C controls, and some shady wiring (did it come this way from the factory?).
I have a pioneer CD player that will be going into this rig and I just want 4 basic round speakers (6.5" maybe?) Am I going to have to make a custom wiring harness for this? It looks like a rat's nest behind the stock head unit.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
