My 60 has been dead for 3+ years. About 3 years ago I bought some oem steelies and 33x10.5 BFG AT's thinking that I was going to get the truck fixed soon. Well, time has flown by and yesterday I was having a conversation with a buddy and he mentioned tires may have developed flat spots from the truck being parked that long. I temporarily swapped the wheels & tires to my son's mini 4x4 truck to check and sure enough, the tires have flat spots. Will the flat spots go away after driving tires for a while or is it permanent? If it does go away, will this affect long term realibility of the tires? I googled this but I could not find anything specific on BFG AT's.

Thanks,
ML

Just drive them and warm them up, no real damage to the iron belt, maybe release pressure and drive a bit and then high pressure again.
I had some humpty dumpty driving with cold, few weeks not used, bfg tires, few hunderd meters and would go away: 32x11.50 r15 113R m+s lt

Keep them filled to max psi & drive them. There are (or used to be) many places in the world that didn't have sealed roads and the cruiser would spend its whole life on bumpy dirt roads. The tires don't care if they're bumping
around down the road.

Thank you hj60 & Output Shaft. Good to hear I can still use the tires. I was mainly concerned with reliability down the road.

When they heat up they'll even out. or I'll buy them from you for $100.:D

If you change your mind, I'll drive up and take them off your hands! I'm going to be needing tires soon.

I'll trade you the tires for my 60's twin, Shirley? Nice truck
