So I just found out today you can not get a CD player in a 5th gen after 2019! Just as I was getting used to cassettes in the 94 80. What will I do now????:)
I love my cd collection, guess I will have to put them on a drive??

Total annoyance but you'll need to convert them all to mp3. This is yet another reason why I'm going to regret selling my 2018 Tacoma. CD player, stand alone nav, no Google or Apple. Oh well.

Doesn't Napster let you listen to CD's that you already own? I'll check Myspace and let you know.

I still have some of that music!!!

I had a 5th gen (2015) for 5 years and put over 100k miles on it. It never gave me one single problem including a drive to Utah and back while towing a trailer full of dirt bikes and 3 other guys (in the truck, not the trailer). I put 275/70/17 BFG's on it with no lift and it never rubbed, even off-road.

Things i didn't like

gas mileage sucks. average was about 16mpg. not much better than the 80 series.

changing the oil is a pain with 2 skids you have to remove, and then mess with the weird permanent filter housing thing

The steering rack was starting to make noise when I traded it in and apparently that's a known issue at right around 100k.

drivers seat is a bit cramped for even me and I'm not a big guy so if your big guy might consider.

I never really loved the thing, liked it, just didn't love it. that's just me though.

I done did it. Added a few things.

Suspension work?
1" Cornfed front leveling kit/spacer. stock size 265's (6 ply) on SR5 wheels. No spacers. I wanted to keep whatever power this has and fuel economy. I got 21 mpg on a 120 mile trip last weekend. I will take that.

I bought in as a dealer so I have a few extra spacer kits if anyone wants one.

So when's this getting sliders and skids? You built lemonade to be your back to basics wheeler. I think this might really test your skills taking it on the fun trails and trying not to damage it.. :meh:
