I am interested in this too. A non-tinted or very light tint for the windshield that cuts UV/heat would be great. Thanks

I'll chime in here as I have just been talking to my local tint guy about what to do on my rig. The problem with clear is that it provides very little heat rejection. What we're looking at for my windshield is an 85% ceramic tint. 99.5% UV but still only 16% solar energy rejection (compare with 61% solar energy rejection with 15% ceramic). It's not much but may be worth it.

Whenever I change my windshield, I'll do the same. Current windshield is too pitted. The difference in heat between the front passenger windows and the windshield is tremendous.

I agree with you...who's rig is this? While losing the UV protection, I think clear windows open you up to more people and in Mexico, that can be a good thing, especially when the cartels are all driving around with heavily tinted rigs. I would prefer to keep as low a profile as possible...

LOL

C'mon, dude

You sound like those guys who scare everyone away from traveling into Mexico

OMFG....is the water safe to drink in Mexico????

lol.

Anything darker than 50% on the windshield is stupid. Gentleman, PLEASE look at your vehicle insurance policy. I can't remember where I read, but if you rear end someone at night, the insurance company can refuse to cover the accident. Thankfully people just back into me during the day

In Australia it's actually illegal to tint ya front windscreen

People tint the entire front windshield? I've never heard of this. Probably because of where I live.

Actually, lots of people in long island tint their front windows. I know several. A LIGHT tint, I'm talking 65-75% range will cut out 50% of the heat and effect night vision minimally. Even 50% is too dark for what I'd consider acceptable. Without HIDs I'd never suggest it.

It's illegal in NV as well to tint the entire windshield.
