5.7 Vortec to NV4500 Clutch Help

Hi,
First off, Merry Christmas.
Can anyone help me figure out what clutch kit I need for my build? I rebuilt a 5.7 Vortec engine from a '99 Yukon, and ordered a rebuilt NV4500 to mate to it, and even though I've hit some snags along the way, the clutch pack is driving me nuts . I installed a 168 tooth flywheel, a Powertorque K70149-01 clutch kit, and the AA Bellhousing 712577, but the throwout bearing that came with the AA kit barely touches the diaphragm when I press the clutch pedal, and because there isn't any tension on the fork, from the pressure plate finger springs, the fork comes close to coming off the pivot bolt when I depress the clutch pedal. I noticed that where many pressure plates have raised "finger" springs that extend outwards towards the tranny, the one I have goes inwards. Is this something easily fixable just by replacing the pressure plate with one where the springs extend outwards, or is there more I need to replace? Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year.

No. I removed the tranny and it looks like everything is installed correctly. The throwout bearing just isn't long enough to touch the finger springs. I've attached pics of what my pressure plate looks like, and what the earlier models look like. I think the fact that the finger springs recess, is what's causing such a big gap, but I'd rather consult with the professionals before shotgunning parts.

I have a mid 90s TBI engine (stock flywheel) and a nv4500 in my 40 using the stock toyota hydraulics. I am using this with zero complaints.

The fingers are very close to flat.
