4wd not engaging

I recently purchased a 1992 Hilux, the previous owner said that the 4wd wasn’t engaging. Upon inspection I found out that it was fitted with transmission case from Toyota surf. I can’t seem to find any wiring harnesses that goes to the transmission. Is there any way that I can modify a harness that can fit my hilux???? Btw the car is not fitted with ECU because it is an old model..... Help

How does the transfer case shift? Push button, dial, or shifter on the floor? What gnob said. Pictures really help.
