Hi everyone,

Running 245x75R16 Toyo Open Country AT III load rating E tires on a 3rd gen 4Runner. Unfortunately, she ended up on her side. The front left tire blew its bead, but got back together fine with the air compressor. The rear left (it fell onto its left side) has some rocks and dirt in it.

There's an old thread on this, albeit with no pictures.

What do you all advise? Are different tires more or less prone to this? Is the best thing to do dismounting, cleaning, and remounting?

Not sure if 15" wheels have this tend to happen less than 16", or if different tires on different rim widths do better. Or if it's just the nature of the beast.

Not certain yet if it's leaking. I haven't sprayed it.

I was running 30 PSI all around. 36 PSI was a bit bumpy on the gravel roads here. 30 was comfy and looked like it wasn't too little (except when pulling a loaded trailer), but I wonder if with more air if the front left bead wouldn't have broken, or if it would've helped to keep out more gravel from the rear left bead.

Thanks!
