4runner electrical problem (1 Viewer)

A friend has a 94 4runner (115k) with an electrical problem.

Chassis electric cuts out (gauges drop, windows wont work, lights go out). Radio still works and vehicle runs fine. After it is parked she is unable to get it to come out of park.

This problem occurs intermittently.

It sounds to me like the problem has something to do with the electronic components mentioned not recognizing that the ignition switch is ON. So, I'd check ignition switch and the wiring coming from it. Or have someone who knows what they're doing check it out.
