Hey everyone. I have the 4Plus tire carrier designed for the Yeti 45 cooler and was wondering if the Rtic 45 will fit in it just as snug. It's on sale right now and I'm thinking of picking one up for the 40. Anyone ever tried?

I'm interested in this topic also. I have the 4Plus carrier and basket, and thanks to GA for the above dimensions - I did some back of the envelop (excel) calcs. The point that is important in the basket for cooler fit, is the upper basket tube that's about 7 inches up from the bottom of the basket. This it the point where the cooler will likely go or no-go into the basket. I measured the inside dimensions of the upper tube on my basket: 25.250 inch long and 14.375 deep.
Looking at the dimensions of the coolers, they give upper and lower outside dimensions. So, I extrapolated to get the outer dimension the cooler might have at about 7 inches up from the bottom.
Basket: 25.250 and 14.375
Yeti: I get 25 inch and 14.25 inch. Snug fit.
RTIC: I get 25.875 inch and 15.125 inch. No go. Seems like the RTIC is too long to even get started in the basket. Of course, you could perhaps go buy the cooler and try it. If it doesn't fit then return it, if possible.
My 2 cents. I could be wrong and am often reminded that I am :princess: Someone else may have more accurate dimensions of the 4 Plus basket and coolers. Seems like the 4Plus basket is designed to have a snug fit with the specific dimensions of the Yeti 45. The basket even has 'Yeti 45' CNC cut out in the bottom plate of the basket. Very cool. Just so happens that the Yeti 45 costs a bunch.
4Plus carrier and basket is a work of art.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

I am also interested in this. I have the older style basket on the passenger side rear and spoke with Dave Gore at 4 plus in Miami, AZ. He says if I bring my rig to him me will modify the basket to accept the Yeti 45................ In Arizona a good cooler is a godsend...........

I travel to Tucson some. Where is 4plus located again? Might carry on my basket one trip

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up but RTIC coolers changed their warranty from 7 years to 30 days. Just FYI.

Yep, just checked their site for confirmation, no more 7 year warranty:(. That was their other major selling point. From my brief google search it sounds like they got sued by yeti with regards to their warrenty. This sucks!

Just FYI as another option, Coleman makes a cooler that fits perfectly in the 4+ tubular rack also. Maybe not as well insulated as a Yeti, but it has served me well. Here it is in action in the west Texas summer:

Be very careful with your coolers in the oilfield! I know of quite a few that have disappeared in Pecos and the Odessa area.

As a matter of fact, that photo was taken on a location in Reeves County, about half-way between Pecos and Fort Stockton. When I'm on well site, I have a house trailer out there and only go to town once a week or so for groceries. But I have been in the oil business for 36 years now, and have never had anything stolen yet (knock on wood).

Hijack: great looking cruiser, man!

Thanks!
