hey all,

I've had a slight driveline vibration (present in 4H only) for a few years but due to the fact that my rig is always either in 2H or 4L I never really did anything about it. I figured it was probably the output bearing or the driveshaft but now I am begining to wonder. In the past 2yrs (about 8,000kms) I have had the T-case rebuilt and most recently completely rebuilt axles, new tyres (balanced of course) and last week a straightened and balanced front driveshaft (it turned out to be a little out of whack). So, I hook up my new driveshaft figuring my problems will be solved and while better than it was, I still get a slight vibration.

It's pretty smooth until about 40-50 KMs then I get the vibration if I either back off the throttle or hold throttle in a steady position. The vibration goes away under load. Any idea's?

Hmmmm...don't know about the pinion angle, I only have the OME lift and it never did this after I first had the lift installed....as for the U-joints, they checked out when I had my DS straightend & rebalanced...and the splines don't seem to have exessive play. I guess anything is possible though eh?

take all load off the front shaft, unlock the hubs, crawl underneath and push up and down near the splined section, if it moves then there is your problem. this occures after some lift installs...
