I have a 1984 bj45 troopy. Just want to know if there are differences between a 45 and 47 troopy. Maybe you guys could shed some light. Thanks in advance! Jay

I don't think they made a BJ47 so you mean between a BJ45 and a HJ47?

HJ47 is powered by a 2H vs. your 3B;
12v vs. 24v - though that depends on your truck;
That's probably it.

Malaysia was offered HJ45 and HJ47 only.
Of course the major different will be the engine and box, 45 for H engine and 47 for 2H engine.
The minor ones will be spring bushes, steeling wheel, fuel tank....etc
The body looks identical the same except the grille:D

Thanks for the response! Just curious about the differences. As previous stated, i have an 1984 bj45 troopy, but the previous owner put a 2h engine with a 5 speed tranny in it.

Off topic: i am in the process of closing a deal on a bj 44 ( mid wheel base) cruiser. Hope it pushes through. Fingers crossed!!! Will post some pics if i get it. Ty
