40 windshield on a 55

While I have chopped the top, I'm not discarding it, I am replacing the horizontal rails that lie under neath the drip channells. The roof line over the doors on 55s isn't straight however. This combined with the rusted state of my windshield channel and a pillars means that I'm in for some metal work either way.

Its either custom fab the windshield channel and patch up the a pillars, versus build a raised mount for the 40 windshield and make custom a pillars and roofline to match the 40 windshield.

Ill probably use the same 2x4x12ga pipe for the roofline as well as the a pillars. The tear down is already done, ill be working out the details over the next couple days.

Small update, I have the windshield mocked up, time to start fabbing the mount and cover plates. The a pillars are going to be pretty big which will obscure visibility a touch. Reminds me of my honda element in that regard. Not sure how to feel about that. Also, why is the glass on the side mirrors so sharp? Cut myself on one today while walking by.
