I am picking up new winch tomorrow an picked up a winch plate from Jim. Now I think its time I get a respectable bumper, not the cut down kangaroo krusher thats currently on my rig. I was thinking of picking up a piece of 2x4 box steel 1/4" thick. While my 110 wire feed welder is supposed to do 1/4" I don't trust it or my welding skills enough. I am sure that I can talk someone into welding it for me.
Then I get to thinking that maybe others in the club would want a new bumper. Correct me if I am wrong but steel usually come in sticks of 21'? Would anyone be up for a fab day to make some 40 bumpers? Would there be a YT memeber willing to do the welding? If not no big deal I'm sure I can find about 5 foot of srap to build it. Just thought it would be a good excuse for a gathering too.
Edit: I have a grinder and a set of torches. No 220v in my garage though.
