so, an update, i got everything to work and managed to figure it out. however, i'm sure that I've got the wrong VSV because it wants to shut it down with power. i need to make it shut down with no power because i had intended to get power from the ignition cable. so everything works but back to front. does anyone have the part number for the correct one? or is there a way around my problem using my current VSV?

yes, seems to make no difference though unfortunately.
