Which I think is a little confusing. You can find the paper copy of the 95 online for a price, yet, the 96 is used for the 95 ... even though it was produced after the 95. I am going to just assume that the changes they made to the 95 were included in the 96 manual, but does that mean you can't use the 94 manual for the 95?? Trollhole was saying that they made manuals to cover a few years, and I get that, but if that is true, then why does the 95 best work out of the 96 manual? Also - if the 96 and the 97 were the same, then why did they make different manuals for them?

91-92, 93-94, 95-97 are all different iterations of the 80 series with their own unique parts.

With the exception of some emissions I would be hard pressed to find five parts that are diff on a 95-97.

If I would get worthy answers to my questions and not sarcasm, or shame responses, then maybe I wouldn't have to.

Iterations, for example - of course they are iterations - That's what new models and new manuals are! Iterations of the last model and manual. It's just some new stuff implmented or changed from the old model and manual - pretty easy to figure that out. But that wasn't what I asked. What I asked was if the manuals are made for a few models, like the 94 being for the 94 and the 95, but there were changes made on the 95 model, how can the 94 model be applicable? I can see how the 96 would possibly incorporate the 95 model changes, but then again, if there are "iterations" in the 96 model, then how is it applicable to the 95? Unless, did they annotate those changes in the manual, e.g 'follow this procedure for model 95 not 96', and if so, then why isn't anyone saying that? Or did they actually make a 1995 manual, like these? ...

I dont care if you are right or wrong, but if you don't know, then don't guess and stand by it to be the 'end all answer'. Responses like, "I may be wrong but I think it's because ..." are usually more effective then "Thank you, you just made my day", a response that is clearly a demonstration of "I am the all knowing and glad that you asked what I feel is a stupid qustion"; or "Quit overthinking stuff", a response that really doesn't add anythign constructive to the discussion, nor does it make the poster any more beleivable when they reply. I'm not right all the time, I don't know everything, and I am not afraid to admit it or ask questions - it's the whole point of forums like this. I try to stay respectful on forums, and when I feel I am going to have trouble with that because of some passive aggressive comments, then I normally look away or turn off the computer. Didn't think I would have that problem here, but I guess I was wrong and sometimes ya just need to voice your opinion.

The 91 and 92 manuals are almost interchangeable, except for some minor differences.
Ditto for 93/94.
Ditto for 95-97.
Not for 94/95.
I think they made different manuals so they could sell more, and address the minor differences.
I would be perfectly comfortable using the 96 manual to work on a 95, and a 94 manual to work on a 93. I would not use a 94 manual to work on a 95, and vice versa.

I just downloaded the 1980 Chassis & Body manual no problems... Be patient. It is a large pdf. 800 plus page document! I have an 80 cruiser too...

I did get it to download on my desktop. But it still won't download on my iPad with good reader. It gets about halfway through and safari just closes. I'm not a iPad guru but I have downloaded other docs with good reader with no problem. I don't know if I have a setting wrong or what?
