How about a family friendly romp to the Coves? This isn't about hardcore wheel'n, this is about a leisurly drive to water, cook some food, play in the water, and enjoy a Sunday afternoon before the furnace gets lit.

Where: Wash north end of Butcher Jones Rec Area
When: Sunday, 4/30
Time: 9:45, head out at 10 AM. Stay until whenever you want to leave.

If you pass through Butcher Jones, no parking kinda thing, and head straight for the wash, the $6 useage fee is not required.

My Dog would like that, & I would also like to learn this trail

Not really a "trail" per-se but a fun area none the less. I'm gonna try to get the wife and kids out for this one again. Which cove? 2nd?

Last time we did this there was tons of food and good stuff. I beat the piss outa the prerunner getting out there but we had a good time anyway.

I may find the time to to get out there for a couple of hours, I would like to do a flex test on the new front arms before the test drive to CM!:hillbilly

I'm in, with the clan.

Michael says he's gotta wrench for Moab , but I might be in :bounce:

no family, though ;p

Kevin, Michael wants to know whether you are going to do a "before-after/off-on" out there?

If you’re asking if I am going to swap the arms out for a comparison on the trail, the answer is NO!:D But, I do have some wheel lift poser shotts of the truck in some holes out there, so those pix could be used for before/after. Kyle and I twisted it up with the forklift, shot pix and streched the tape, we will repeat that when the arm are in today, the pix will tell the story.

Can't wait to see them kevin!! I have been wondering if I should remove the front bolt on the drivers side for CM once up there.

I couldn't picture you doing that, either ;)

actually, don't count on us tomorrow :frown: Michael is getting new brake calipers and I will try again to get my brake indicator light right , and we each have a few little things to do before Moab; the list seems to never end

Is there a spot to meet, like by the gate? I am not familiar with the area.

stayed up way to late, and I need to do some wrenching in the morning so count me out also

Unfortunately I'm not going out today... I'M HERE AT WORK!

We'll be digging one of my guys out of a hole that he dug himself on a project the last couple of weeks. Actually I can't really blame him, but our asshat estimator is sure in for a rude awakening come Monday.

I'm off to work as well. Just got a promotion this week at work so the added responsibilities are forcing me in today. I would have been south of the border this weekend, but had to cancel that too.
