I love IDOCARS. So much fun to watch him rip into stuff.
I'd love to know how many miles are on that engine. It was obviously abused.
I wouldn't say that's abused. Sure the oil changes went a little long and was conventional hence the varnish. But there's no sludge and I've seen plenty of more sludged motors than that go high mileage.
But what I think really wrecked that motor was the rad was leaking, ran low on coolant, and kept on driving after it overheated to locking the motor up.

I am at 297k miles on my 08. All the threads about motor blowing and this video has me worried.
I’m not sure I would worry about it. That last failure seemed like a real fluke.

I almost posted this in that car care nut head gasket thread where we all agreed that we’re doing head gaskets as preventative maintenance…
Can someone please post the cam bolt part number, I’m at 30k miles now and feel like I should tackle this sooner rather than later.
