3rd Row Seats - You Guys Tossing These?

Mine are used occasionally for nieces and nephews etc. hanging on to them for use with babies 2-?

I've got 2 sets in the basement. Original Lexus and a cloth brown set. Also 2nd row Lexus down there.

I converted to manual seats and all cloth 2nd and 3rd. Wife wanted cloth for the little kids burning their legs. But now the 3 oldest are out of the house and I put storage drawers back there.

I sold the Lexus power seats, I grew fond of the manual cloth. Tried selling the 2nd and 3rd rows a few years back, no takers.

Just waiting to have a neighborhood clean up, and motivation to dig them out of storage.

Sounds like the hardware is valuable, guess I will try to sell that when the time comes.

Still have mine stored in the garage. The seats are in mint condition. They are taking up space but just can't bring myself to throw them out.
Eventually, they'll be needed by somebody who will be thrilled to have third row seats in such great condition...at least that is what I tell myself to justify my decision. :meh:

Just sold mine on Ebay. Guy send me the money but his paypal address is different from the where ebay says he lives. I have been emailing him over and over with no reply.
Anyone here buy my seats. Paypal says FL but Ebay say GA.
Shipping is what kills the deal. It costs way more to ship them than the price you sell them for.

right side is still in the truck since when I go camping I fold the second and third rows flat and use them as a base for the sleeping platform. left side in storage, occasional use when im moving people and not stuff or scrap

I also remove the 2nd row seats. Used the "seat belt anchor bolt mount is rusted" excuse for removing the seats.

What hardware do people need for the third row? I just bought another 80 and it has third row seats that I'm not as committed to. Once I pick it up I'd be willing to pull some hardware off if someone needs it...

Is nobody else interested in having reclining second row seats? I have done this on all three of my 80s and it makes the back seat a lot more comfortable.

I would certainly do that if I could find a free set of third row seats but since I use mine I don't want to tear them up.

Around here there has been someone trying to sell theirs for a couple years...at $300-400. I emailed them once saying they were WAY to high but they keep trying every month or two.

5 kids, mine get used all the time. My truck also serves as backup for the wifes sequoia in case it has a problem (130k miles. its never had a problem yet, but.......)

I could sure use some new brown hardware for it, The drop down legs and such are looking pretty ragged. Love the brown cloth on mine though!

Swapping hardware so my second row can recline?!?!?!? Great idea, I had no idea we could do that. Thanks for the replies, guys. This confirms my suspicion that I should give these seats away locally for free. I'm in Ventura, CA, if anyone wants to PM me. Cheers.

One thing I have done for the reclining seats--find a set for cheap here on mud, ask the seller to remove the hinges and ship them to you and throw away the rest--this keeps the shipping cheap....

I took mine out in 1993 (a year after I bought my 92 and had never used them). They have been moved from Iowa to Indiana to Texas (F&@$ Texas!) to Indiana and finally back to Iowa. They sit in my basement. Open. On a shelf. I will never use them but I can't imagine just throwing them away.

Why so much hate on Texas? I'm born and raised in the Lone Star State and we generally welcome anybody...even Iowans> :flipoff2:

Wait...make the middle recline?? Where have you been the last 10 years? How is such a magical feat performed? Might "search" yield another golden nugget, or will @KliersLC just give it up? I'm going to have wait to find out while I go earn a living for a bit...

Meeting ended early. I love it when that happens. My calendar shows busy and I have 45 minutes to cruise IH8MUD and dream of reclining seats!
