My search yielded negative results, so can any of you wonderful mud members walk me through how you removed the 3rd row seat belts? I finally got around to removing my seats in preparation for ARB drawers, and want to remove the seat belts for a cleaner look. Any help is much appreciated as I don't want to break any plastic or fasteners
Yep = pull and pry..... it's a bit daunting but nothing gets hurt it seems...
I put rock climbing carabiner ties downs on the upper rears for attachment points ( REI)
I need to figure out how to get the mechanisms for the 3rd row out this week..... will post pics of that process. Also working to design side storage areas just below the windows/ over the ARB drawers...
A little bit off topic - for those that got or are getting rid of their third row - I am looking for a 3rd row center headrest (preferably in tan/sand color)
yeah I'm pulling out my third row and I guess the second row also. I had hoped to use some arb drawers and have a sleeping platform for two.
But there is nowhere to put a fridge. What are people doing if they sleep in the back? Taking out the fridge every night??
So it seems the only way is to use the space taken up by the 2nd row seats. The best solution I have seen is a complete custom platform that is tall enough to use an Isotherm fridge drawer. Then you just have a stainless drawer that pulls out and a big sleeping plat form with all kinds of space for storage.
I was hoping an Arb fridge would fit behind my front seats when the rear seats are folded down....but there isn't enough room.
Looks like I'll just forget about using Arb drawers. I can't see sleeping with a fridge at my feet with my girlfriend in there also.

I may stick something about the size of an Arb fridge in there and see what it is like sleeping with two of us. Luckily she's slim and only 105lbs.
Otherwise I'll have to figure something else out.....toss the girl or toss the fridge. Medicinal vagina...or a cold beer. Hmmmm tough one.....
