Ok...Ok...I know, I need a factory service manual.

But in the mean time, does anyone know the torque spec for bolts that attach the 3rd to the axle housing?

I ran a search, but didn't find anything. I have the Haynes manual, but it doesn't say.

TIA,

Without a book, 24-30ft lbs. should get you really close, assuming this is the 10mm stud. If this is the earlier diff, 16-20 is more like it, as they are 8mm studs.

Make sure that they are tight. I use blue locktite on the cover bolts, and the nuts on the diff, and snug them up.

Works great every time!

Good luck!

Thanks poser,

I got them cranked down to spec w/the blue stuff tonight.
