[help wanted]

I am in the process of a frame of resto on my 71 -40. Just took my front axle apart for a mini truck disk brake conversion and the ring and spider gears are pretty badly rusted. I do have a 77 part truck and was wandering if I could use the 3rd member from the rear end in the front end of my 71. I was wanting to keep the disk brake front end of the 77 whole because I am planning on selling it. Will take $200 if anybody is interested!! I had already bought all the mini truck stuff before I found the 77 part truck.

200 for what exactly? The mini or the 77 front disc?

The third member from the 77 rear end will work in the 71 front axle.

The third member from the 77 rear end will work in the 71 front axle..just swap out the pinion flanges.

Will work but I'm pretty sure the gears are different. I think the 77 probably has the higher gear ratio.
