I am with you on all counts.The only idle issue I've had went away when I checked the throttle position sensor. I chocked it up to a loose/dirty connection. Couldn't hurt to double check TPS and AFM with a multimeter, and make sure the connectors look good. (I've heard of the AFM connector being F'ed up by disconnecting it wrong)
I had my fuel pressure reg on constant vacuum after de-smog.Just pulling the fuse should do it. So have you disconnected the 3 VSVs on the fender? One of them is for the fuel pressure regulator, and should either be kept, or else the line from it to the FPR hooked up to a constant vacuum (I'll see if I can find the thread on that).
That is excellenti pulled the fuse last night, and for some reaason, this morning, i walked out and started it up, no problem what so ever, this dang thing is driving me crazy. it seems as though with every new day, something is wrong, and on the next, it magically fixes itself

Did you ever extract the codes? That is real important.ok, so the problem is not as bad now, but my idle is really low, and the other night i was up in the mountain, the truck was warm after about a 50 mile drive, and i stalled out in reverse. it throbbs a little, i really need to know what the deal is, is because i havent taken the EGR off yet. that it is messing with the idle speed. thanks
Just as we thought.51, throttle position sensor might have to be re calibrated? who knows, ive had this code since i bought the truck last year, i checked to see if another came up behind, and same (51) arose
so y'all deffinitely think it is the TPS. youre right, i dont have an FSM. ill look into getting one for sure. however for the time being, since this is my DD, is there a possibility i can get the page in adobe from one or someone here? need it soon!!! well, not really, ill be gone until monday.
