Too far north. Too far east.
January 20th, Saturday
10:00am
Beer and pizza provided.

Objective: Take this EFI tractor motor and place it between the frame rails on my FJ40. Purpose is to check placement of the brake system on the firewall and make adjustments if necessary. I also need to install the clutch. Can somebody bring a clutch alignment tool? I installed the bellhousing and flywheel this weekend.

We will then need to remove the motor so I can finish welding the firewall.

RSVP here so I can get a head count. Don't feel you are physically or technically of any use? Come anyway, bring a chair, a camera, and watch.

 Jon

Jon,
You do realize that that Saturday, Jan 20th is right in the middle of the NFL playoffs, right? Edited.

I have a few questions to ask before committing my valuable time:

1. What kind of beer?
2. Can we pick out the pizza restaurant and type of pizza?
3. How much beer?
4. Is your garage heated?
5. Will the beer be cold? (I hate warm beer.)
6. Do you have a big screen TV in your garage?
7. What kind of beer?
8. Do you have a big screen TV in the house?
9. What kind of beer?
10. What kind of pizza? (I like pepperoni & mushrooms)
11. Will there be plenty of beer?
12. Should I make a list of tools for Dan to bring? (He has kewl tools.)

That is all for now.

Saturday is the 20th. What's NFL? What playoffs? Is this important?

I have a few questions to ask before committing my valuable time:

1. What kind of beer?
A: Shiner, Pacifico, etc.

2. Can we pick out the pizza restaurant and type of pizza?
A: Sure as long as they deliver, or you're picking up.

3. How much beer?
A: Plenty for those that actually work. Those in the peanut gallery will get iced tea.

4. Is your garage heated?
A: Sometimes, usually around August.

5. Will the beer be cold? (I hate warm beer.)
A: Plenty of snow left. I'll stick it outside, or just leave it in the garage, which ever is colder.

6. Do you have a big screen TV in your garage?
A: No, but I can crank the stereo in the 4Runner.

7. What kind of beer?
A: Miller, Pabst Blue Ribbon, maybe Coors.

8. Do you have a big screen TV in the house?
A: Would you like Plasma or LCD?

9. What kind of beer?
A: Well, I just heard Fish is coming, so Budweiser it is.

10. What kind of pizza? (I like pepperoni & mushrooms)
A: Cheese, lots of cheese.

11. Will there be plenty of beer?
A: You want to sprout gills? Or go all the way to pickled?

12. Should I make a list of tools for Dan to bring? (He has kewl tools.)
A: Ya, Dan has cool tools.

A: Plenty for those that actually work. Those in the peanut gallery will get iced tea.

One more follow up question.

Please define "work" in the context of how much, in minutes, will be required to meet the minimum requirements that would entitle one to "plenty" of beer.

I would say enough work to break a sweat ... but I don't think the garage will be warm enough. :grinpimp:

No problem. I can break a sweat walking from the street up the steps to your house. You'll need to buy more beer.

I like Mike's line of thinking... can't go wrong with a "few" cold beers and a good pizza. I'll be there to cheer you guys on. I too can break a sweat just getting out of my truck, so Mike and I will be hanging out on the side drinking our much deserved refreshments.

Mike doesn't drink enough beer to present such platitudes.

Sounds like a challenge to me...

Bringing this to the top ...

So, I need A beer for Mike, and A beer for Mike. :grinpimp: Anybody else?

Jon

So, you're only giving a bottle each? ;-)

So, you're only giving a bottle each? ;-)

Well, right now that would be two each since there will only be three of us :D, and the stuff is sold six at a time. I guess if you come I'll need to buy more :flipoff2:. Come'awn Steve, you have nothing going on until 6:00.

I'm going to plan on being there for a bit (wife says "I think" you can go).

So I guess a sleep over is no longer an option?

-Mike-

Bring a sleeping bag, I don't care. As long as you don't mind sharing the guest bedroom with the cat's litterbox :o . I have something going on that evening so I won't be home until late :princess: . You can watch all the football you want!

You don't live too far.... maybe I will just walk.

Walk? Or stumble? I'll buy more beer. :grinpimp:

OK, all messing around aside. They are expecting snow this Saturday. Either way, it's supposed to be cold. To answer Mike M's question, yes, I have a kerosene heater that I run when working in the garage. It does help take the chill off and I'll start it when I get up. I think we can do this with the door closed (cracked). Those coming should dress warm.
