Thanks for the kind words.

I'm are retired fighter pilot...so gauges and alarms are within my comfort zone. I understand, though. It is quite loud off the shelf. I put a layer of electrical tape across the alarm "mouth" to knock it down just a little. If and ever it goes off, I want it to seriously get my attention, though. No, my plug is not really stuffed, just "capped." Living in warm AZ I'm not too concerned about the plug blowing...and that's a fairly involved job to do thoroughly.
Thank you for your service (I'll assume you flew for us 😉).

Aren't you in the film business now? Or is that someone else in AZ with a 60 series?

I'm desmogged so it really isn't that bad of a job. Like anything on a 62, I can always hear a Tiny Hands Japanese Engineer laughing away at least a few times on every job I do on this truck. Such is love...

It was my honor.

That's me. Ooo, been around here a long time. Retired from that, too, now.

Ha, yep!

In the spirit of keeping this thread derailed, I am a Production Designer, primarily commercials. DP, right?

People are going to absolutely hate me for this:

I put JB Weld putty on mine 5 years ago and it's still there.
The first time I had to deal with this was on the road. I pushed some JB weld in and hammered a zerk fitting into the hole behind it. Pretty sure I still have that head around here somewhere with nothing else ever done to the "repair".

Mark...

Ha. PM me if you want to get not derail too much. Yes, but most of the time as a camera operator everywhere. Some 2nd unit and aerials as DP on features, etc. Used to shoot commercials here in AZ as DP.

I laugh because I've been considering this for a few months. I have some extra high heat JB weld from sealing a tiny leak on the top of my oem radiator that I dont want to replace.

Great mines think alike. Did the same thing back in 2012. Granted I dont drive it daily. Still holds strong. I check it every time the hood is open though.
