Hey y'all. One of my ARB bumper fog lights took a hit and busted, so I went on another 3d printing adventure for the LC and this is what I came up with.

EDIT: Here's the thingiverse link..... Land Cruiser 200 - Auxbeam Fog Light Bracket for ARB Deluxe Bumper by sw682 - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6475927

I had kind of wanted to put some LED lights in there anyway so I set out to see what the options were. ARB's replacement lights weren't crazy expensive, but I also saw some universal brackets out there. I liked the idea, but the brackets i saw didn't retain the adjustment screw and just kind of looked like they may not keep things in place. So I started tinkering around with SketchUp and this is what I came up with. Here's the pictures of some prototypes and I'll be printing the final version soon in ABS. Will post the design files to thingiverse and put the link here when it's ready. Let me know what y'all think! Cheers

Very impressive for sketchup! I'll be curious how the ABS holds up to sun/heat.
Thank you! The filament I have is actually ASA. I got that instead of ABS for another project. Heard it held up better to UV than ABS. Have any experience or recommendation?

I don't have too much insight. A decade ago I had an Audi interior hatch latch printed in PLA (I think, not certain) and it deformed pretty quickly with high vehicle interior temps.

I decided to start my journey into 3D printing this year with a resin printer. The finishes can be made pretty nice straight out of the printer, but leveling and learning to support models well comes with a learning curve. Additionally, it's a pretty mess-prone setup. But the resins look like they might be more robust than the extruded stuff. Not sure! I've been using this for final versions of parts: Onyx Rigid Pro410 3D Printing Resin - https://phrozen3d.com/products/onyx-rigid-pro410

I'm just getting started, so I'm trying to learn the 'gotchas' and the best performance materials.

Hi, looks like a great design, did you end up putting the stl on Thingiverse as i would be interested in printing it out for my ARB bumper.

How do you like these lights? Are you using them for driving lights or fog lights? If the latter, do they have a good cutoff? Awesome design!!

Dang, I wish I had my 3D Printer back when I had the ARB on my Jeep Liberty CRD. I had to hack together some mounts for my Mishimoto XBLED's.

I like them enough I'd say. I can't really vouch for how they compare to other offerings, but I sure liked the price and they seem plenty bright! i don't think they really have a cut-off pattern to them. If they do I hadn't noticed. Don't get too much fog here in Texas :). Sorry probably not what you were looking for but I can at least say after using them for awhile that I'm not disappointed. The project was fun too. Cheers

Right on - do you get the sense that they're not blinding oncoming traffic at least?
