Hi! a friend of mine is looking for a 3b rebuilt kit. Anyone know a good place to get one at a fair price?

Geoff Walsh has them for a very good price. He is asking 745AUS$ as of yesterday. I don't know about a shipping price, but it won't be the 641CAN$ difference from what 4 wheel is asking.
the kit is precisely the same.

My kit from Geoff Walsh was about $1200 landed in B.C. last year.

Charles, did you turf all the gaskets that came with the kit, and go Toyota or not?

No, most of the gaskets were fine, I think I just used an OEM head gasket. I was rebuilding one 3B from the ground up for the FJ55/3B that I used most of the kit on as well as an other 3B that was getting a new piston/liner to be used in my beater '84 (it was the engine that dropped a precombustion chamber while idling so minimal damage was done [other than the piston, liner and head] if that can be called minimum ). For that one I got a Toyota gasket set and I think I swapped head gaskets. The FJ55/3B is the keeper. The '84 BJ60 is already sold and I've heard the new owner has whacked a highway divider with it!
