Can someone tell me why there was a design change? I didn't realize there was a change till I dug out the two that I have and sat them side by side. I have a 3B compressor bracket & AC Idler pulley; I don't want to sell the the wrong power steering idler if the design change occurred to accommodate the AC components.

I found a picture from someone else's build. If you look at the PS idler, it doesn't look like the longer version will impact the AC setup. Still trying to figure out why the design change though.

My PAS setup came of a 70series and has the remote reservoir, and the longer version of the idler pulley bracket. Perhaps the PAS pump bracket is different hence necessitating a different bracket.

Oh... good point. I also forgot about the location change for the reservoir. I'm assuming the off-set of the PS crank pulley for the 3B remains the same throughout the production timeline. I'll double check the mounting depth to the pulley groove for the versions I have to make sure these can be used with the same PS crank pulley.

Do you still have the idler pulley with you?

I realise this is an old thread, but for anyone looking for information, the left hand tensioner is for the AC (clearly visible on the photo in the second post) and the right hand tensioner is for the power steering. The round spacer on the right, mostly out of shot, is for running the power steering crankshaft pulley on an engine without the AC crankshaft pulley.
