tried to found some info online but wasn't able to found anything related to my issue. Bought a 3b/h55f combo from a hj70, engine as been rebuilt, clutch is new and flywheel as been resurfaced. Everything works well beside a grinding and vibration on 3rd gear. I'm aware that the 3rd synchro is probably worn but I also have another problem: strong noise and vibration between 800 - 1200 rpm, only happens in 3rd gear and as soon as I pass 1200rpm it stops completely. No noise or vibration on any other gear.
Can a worn synchro do that? I know that I'll have to take it apart someday but I'm wondering if anyone have an idea of what could be the problem!
