Mines a Ausi Ute so it didn’t come with the fancy 2H/4H button 🤣

Mine is an Aussie spec BJ74 and I have the same H4 button on dash and vacuum setup. I’m not sure I’ve seen a Bj74 oem without that H4/vacuum setup.

However it’s Toyota so I’m normal sure if it’s an option, year based, trim level or market…or combination of all.

There's nothing like being told what you're looking at when you've already posted a picture of something clearly different.

I'd be guessing one of three things down to a previous owner:

-the metal gear/transfer lever plate screwed to the floor is not correct.
-the transfer shift lever looks correct, but maybe there is an incorrect linkage on there from a different transfer arrangement.
-the transmission or transfer has at some time been swapped out for an H55F from a different model, e.g a 60 Series.

Given all your transfer/PTO leaks detailed in you other thread, it's probably a good idea to rebuild the transfer case. We can then take a decent look at the linkages.

Out of interest, what is the ratio for the standard low range vs. adding crawler gears?

I'm into more traction, rather than wheel spinning action 😉
