Did I miss something, or did you mean 39s ?
Nope, 40x13.50's. Don't see them as often as 39's, but when I went to order them they were out and these happen to be a tiny bit cheaper. Still $100 more a tire than last time I looked a year ago...

Sorry, didn't realize this was the 39" thread. Thought there was a general Kanati one.

No worries, I just looked and did not know the 40s were even made by Kanati they did not have them when I got my 39s years ago.
One of the thing I really like about the 39s is there one of the few tires made that are taller then 37" and still only 12.50 wide.
Easier to fit and easier on the 8" front diff.

Yup, I was really wanting to go to 39s because of the width. With these stock alloys they are pretty narrow, have to see how they pooch. About the same width as my 37s with weld on bead locks.

Feel pretty lucky thay I have had no issues since building the axles four years ago, time to pull them down and stick some peepers on them before then next trip.

Right now the 40s are in stock also and $376 a tire, sooo I guess now I'm half way through mounting my second set of them. Really great tire for the mone. Cant wait to do a little siping, more trimming and get them in the snow this winter!

In that front shot, what are we looking at - 40" kanati on the driver side, and what on the passenger side? The drivers tire looks taller and skinnier than the passenger tire. Nice looking 80 series!

Here is a different shot from the rear.

Big is the new 40x13.50 on factory 17" 4runner alloys, small is well used 37x12.50 on factory FJC steels with weld on bead locks. The 40's dwarf the 37's and have quite the crown to them without load. After four years of the beadlocks, it sure is nice to have round wheels/tires that are in reasonable balance.

To my amazement the 39” Kanatis on WalkerEvens bead locks were butter smooth even at speed and zero balancing when new.
There still smooth today 4 years later just not butter smooth nothing you can feel through the steering wheel just not the same but the tire are worn and chunked from trail use.

Slick Nickle...post up when you get them on the Rig.

Any updates on the 40"s?
Did you go to a different wheel?

40s are awesome! I have no doubts that 39s are the same. Been mainly snow wheeling, and no issues. Did some rear fender work eariler this year and eliminated all the rubbage.

Same wheels with spacers, really need to go a little wider to get the crown out of the tire and let it stretch a bit wider on the snow.

Been looking at Sidetracked offroad beadlocks, everything else is expensive and looks dumb in my eyes. Not really sure of other affordable options.

Actually planning on some runs next year, hopefully moab and maybe rubithon. Have a buddy in Tuscon that also wants me to visit
