Does anyone run the 34x12.5x16 Trxus MT? All the 33's that fit and the 35's that don't. Has anyone fit the 34x12.5x16 under there in a stock set up? If so, on 16x8 or 16x10?

Prob end up going with OME lift down the road....2.5" max.

A 16x8 wheel will hold the bead better at low tire pressures.

No, I've never tried that tire, or those sizes. I'm currently running 33" Firestone's.

12.5 x .66 = 8.25 rounded down to 8"

66% of tire section width is my rule for chooseing rim width.

I am planning on running those tires on 16x8 for the sake of bead stability.

Not sure that you're going to get that tire in stock wheel well. At least you won't be able to hit any big pot holes or turn very sharp :).

I run 36/12.50R16 swampers on stock 16x8" alloys with the bumps dropped 2". No rubbing problems are experienced at all. If those 34"ers are narrow like the 36"ers, you might get them in there???

As said above, run 8" wheels so you can air down w/ less fear of losing a bead. The stock 16" alloys also have a nice "sharp" safety bead to help with the bead retention.

Oh, I agree on the 16x8 for holding a bead. I used to run Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips 33x12.5x15 on 15x8 at 6psi....loved it. Never could understand how the guys with 10" wide tires didn't loose their bead, or worse ding up a rim.

I would only go to 16x10's for non-crawling (ie. mud (S. Texas has plenty of clay) or sand and rain).
