yes and yes.....8inch rim is better for a 12.5 inch tire.

I'm running 285/75-16's (roughly 33x11.5") on my stock suspension, no problems. It looks much better than a wimpy-ass 31 or even stock size tire!

i've got 32x11.5 bfg/mt on 15x8 rims with my stock sagging suspension. put them on the 60 with 50% tread left (so might be 30.75" dia. in reality since bfgs run small) and no rubs with light wheeling.

32X11.50 BFG A/T's fit my stock height '89 with no problems.

Edit: Forgot to answer the whole question: Also running stock rims. IMHO, looks really good, tires fill up the wheel wells nicely.

Running this size with add a leaf/shackle lift. Works great. Like this size; good on and off road. I have MTRs and love them.

I have one more question for this thread..

What would be the biggest tires I could run without a lift? Could I run 33x12.5 without a lift? (using 15x8's) Or is there too much rub ?

I see I can do 33x10.5 on a stock rims w/no lift.

33X12.5 will rub in front (while wheeling) even with a 2 in lift. Don't listen to this Doc guy. He drinks a lot. Do listen to DocB.

Didn't I just say the same thing? :flipoff2: ;p

If you're just trying to "look cool" they will fit. But you are going to loose some of the flex you would have had with a smaller tire.

Remember, 33 inch tires only give your 1/2 more inch diff clearance than 32s.

 285/75-16 is the perfect size!

 Everyone should use them on a stock cruiser  !
