My first upgrade will be the modest 1" front lift from Toyota.
I have lifted proly a dozen vehicles over the years, I think in all cases especially the 200 series they handle far superior whether on or off road! On my 200 series I did bring it in for warranty work and Toyota did not even question the lift or tires they just fixed the problem. Most Toyota dealers in my area will finance a lift kit right into the price of the vehicle if you so chose. Most of them also have lifted trucks on the show room etc. In my opinion you will enjoy the drive better(unless you like bouncy and body roll) and should have no concerns with the warranty should you need it.I have never done a lift on any vehicle. I have been concerned about a couple of things. First, how would it effect the behavior of the truck when towing a 6,000 lbs travel trailer. Second, how would it effect overall ride. And finally, would it in any way impact my warranty with Toyota or in any way jeopardize the vehicle's original engineering. So...if Toyota does the lift, then maybe they will do it in such a way that it does not put the warranty or the engineering at risk?

A moderate 2 inch lift of any quality will give you better handling characteristics on and off road, smooth, proly not the word I would use! Compliant proly works, think more "sports car" less "Cadillacish", I know that's a stretch to insinuate that the 200 feels like a "sports car" but better suspension at least moves it in the directionIf one was considering improving the road handling of their 200, what would you suggest as a start point? I don't off road but OK w/minor lift if it creates smoother, more compliant ride.
I think the only way to truly understand what we mean by "handling" would be to drive a lifted 200. Better handling is so subjective to the operator I sometimes hesitate to use the word "better" as it may depends on the intended use of the vehicle and the person driving it. I feel that control over even uneven paved roads is far more sure footed and corning is improved by about 1000%. Try to find a MUD member in your area and take their rig for a spin! If anyone is in Washington state and wants to take my lifted 200 for a spin to see what it feels like just let me know, more than wiling to let ya work it over! Thanks! I'll need to research lifts a bit more but maybe this is something I can do before next season. I would be interested in what you both mean by better handling. But maybe I just need to feel it to understand.

Sounds like the streets of San Francisco. We're overflowing w/tax revenue but can't keep the streets maintained. For another thread.....
Not many if any of us in the land of Prius's and Teslas.
So when you say 'lift' are we simply talking about only lifting, or new suspension parts also. I obviously know nothing about this..............
Nice rig. What tint is on your front windshield? Did you buy an aftermarket grill or black the stock out?My truck fits 305/65R18 Pretty well with the OME BP-51 at factory settings. Rubs at full lock in reverse, working on fixing that.
