The pic is just after turning over 300K back in late April. We're now up to 307K+. Owned since new.
In the 12 months prior to the 300K mark the only unscheduled maintenance was a rear sway bar bush and tightening up the anti-rattle clamps around the cat converters. Best vehicle ever!

NOTE: That's not my driveway, and that oil stain is not mine either. Even at 300K it doesn't drip a drop.

UPDATE: F'it. Around 305K was the FIRST time it had actually quit on the road. Bit of a shock after this many years! Turns out the weak sauce Toyota original alternator had quit. Total rubbish!
A rebuild alt and we're off and away again.

Wait what? The original alternator quit at 305,000 miles? There needs to be a recall for that!!!

Ok, now for poops and giggles, what grade of fuel do you use? What motor oil and filter? How often do you change it? Do you follow toyota schedualed maintence for everything else?

Gas: Regular gas
Oil: synthetic oil [Mobil 1 & others over time] Mobil 1 filters
Oil changes: Not often enough, and surely longer than the book
Scheduled maintenance: In general yes, but not religiously. There have been times when I've been a sinner.

There is a reason why Toyota's trucks are all over Africa and the third world. They can handle hard use with sketchy maintenance and still outlast the others. Its impressive!

I am religious about maintence, and I demand my truck work at all times no matter what, but I also expect it to last one hell of a long time with zero being done to it during the zombie apocalypse.

Good for you on yet another fabulous 100

Appreciated guys, I realized mine spends too long in the garage and I'm trying to catch up:)

Makes me proud to own a 100!!!

My trusty 100 is to be traded in on a new ride in the next few weeks. I'd rather it go to an enthusiast if anyone on this forum is interested .
Does $3.5K sound reasonable. Anyone??

Man this is a really decent price. Have some money, but don't have $3.5k, sadly, as this is along the lines of that I am looking for. You're even local too. Someone is going to make out real well on this.

We are at 260,000 miles and have had done nothing but normal consumable maintenance to ours outside of the blown front diff while playing in the snow years ago. I change the oil every 20,000 miles (Mobil 1 extended perf) and have done one trans fluid change in that time. Changed diff and transfer case fluids once. Flushed brake system once. Never flushed cooling system, never flushed power steering system. Haven't even changed the timing belt once yet. I'll change it at 270,000 miles just to know that I went three change intervals before ever changing it. Changed the starter...original shocks, bushings, everything. Crazy but true. I don't spoil my truck. I drive it. I use it. And it never fails me.

this is insanity. testament to how great these trucks are, IMO. 20k OCI... glorious.

Now I feel bad- my '99 has ONLY 220,000 miles on it! Bought it used and poorly taken care of at 134,000 and have had to replace the mc and recently the steering thingy, which was leaking. But it doesn't use oil between changes and is a smooth ride. Three trips Phoenix to Massachusetts w/zero problems.

^^^^^^ Yeah, me too. Got 195K on the LX now. Not surprised to see the 2UZ's going 300-400K miles though. They are a cool running engine and very easy on oil.

I'm just shy of 300K on my 80 series. Another remarkable vehicle.

APKhaos....do have any rust pics you can share with us?
