They'll probably be different seats - which is a bummer for those with screens they would like to remove.
I think this because Toyota already has 200s in other regions without the screens and there is no cover, they are different seats.

So if they're already offering the screens as optional with different seats in other regions - they are likely just to do that here in the US too.

Land Cruiser 200 Executive Black Edition

That might be the case. It is possible that the Land Cruisers without the rear screens don't have the wiring harness in the seats for those screens.

Yea, that would be a bummer. Although I wouldn't mind having those seats on that Black Edition....

So, what's the latest consensus on the 300 series? Any hope that it may be on display this October in Tokyo?

And since we are making requests:

1) more range
2) full speed adaptive cruise and auto braking

Nope, none whatsoever. The Land Cruiser mentioned in the media for release is the Land Cruiser Prado. (LC 150)

The LC 300 is no where in sight. Rumor is we may see it in 2019 for a 2020 release.

The 2.7L gas engine shouldn't be a surprise coming from Frankfurt. Taxes on fuel and engine sizes are huge in Europe. They tend to devalue 0-60 performance in favor of gas mileage and in some cases highway speeds/performance. They might still put a v8 in a Lexus GX version, though I'd bet a turbo 6

Since Prado isn't sold in the US as a Land Cruiser and the Lexus GX has never had the 5.7L V8, I trust nothing this author says.

My LX570 has radar cruise and it works great but in a heavy thunderstorm it ID's heavy rain like its a vehicle and shuts down and slows the LX. I sure would not want it to also automatically apply the brakes. Might end up with a semi up your ass

“I just got back from spending the day with Kurt and company, including Johnathan Ward, at cruiserfest. what a day.

He had some VERY interesting stuff to say about Toyota inner workings and the backstory to his 300 series leak that will be hitting oppo soon.

I'm going to post a recording of his keynote address. probably Monday. it's not looking good for the 300”
