3 LX's and an 80 - comparison photos - Big Meat Run

the pink panties took on big meat run.

Interesting to wheel with different set-ups.

White truck has 1" body lift, OME J''s, spacers, MAF brackets and 14" travel shocks H1 tires cut fenders (well, 3 out of 4 wheel wells) - Factory locked front swaybar disconnected, rear on.

Silver LX w/ black flares has 1" body lift - OME J's front heavies rear, L shocks H1 tires, no cutting - ausie locker in rear

Silver LX has FOR suspension on 35's (can't remember brand). Factory locked

Silver LC - I totally forget his set up!! On Hankook 33's Factory locked

Jeremy's honey has more photos'. They're still out today. I ran a tree through one of my sidewalls, and dented my rear PS door that I just replaced, and that wasn't enough to call it quits, but the busted birf was. (pretty sure it's the burf)

addede one more item to the damage list - another flat. Was fine this morning, looked low when I got home, and couple hours later it's flat - guessing I caught a nail or something.

Just got home, loading all the video's and pics to desktop, should have them loaded with links to Photobucket, etc. tomorrow. After you left Walking, I decided the damage shouldnt just stop with you, I tore the whole passenger side off my new rear bumper with tire carrier.

Great pics, I have to start finding a way to make time for wheeling.

I actually have more trouble finding time to work on the truck. You know my theory on time for wheeling - if I take the kido's with me, that's family time, not 'me' time. Course, Andrea came and got the kido's about 3:00. My temperment changes after the kids are gone. Jen (passenger in silver LX on 37's) kept saying "Lets wheel, lets wheel" - cause she didn't want to stand around and talk, and since the group was all very capabile we kept a reasonably fast pass w/o much in the way of stops. Just the occasional "I don't wanna lead" out of me.......

Anybody got a can of "fix a flat"

WOW

look forward to wheeling with ya. Just picked up my first 80. Thanks for your advice.

A couple of the videos, I will try to get the rest up soon, it takes forever to upload.

3 of the 4 80's crossing the water, one was already across thats how we got the video. Thnx Heath.

Video of me tearng off my bumper, trying to poser flex a little bit. Wife was a little upset cause everyone was driving right up behind her almost hitting her. I had been hiting that back corner for 2 days everytime I came down off of something, guess it finally had enough and broke right down the center.

Me and Heath taking some different lines over some bity rocks. Obviously someone who went last had to show off a tad. hint hint, Heath, lol.

2 80's playing follow the leader up the rocks.

I will try to get some more up soon, you will be able to search for them under my My Channel or whatever its called.
I had a great time, It was nice meeting some new folks, everyone seemed real nice and very easy to get along with.
Was very impressed at the 37" military tires, we were rolling around all day between the 2 of us. Heath I think at around 18/19lbs with no issues except for the tree, and myself running around 23/25 with no problems and a good amount of give in the tires. Nice to know when you shred a 37" tire that it's only going to cost you $60-75 dollars for a pretty much brand new one, instead of my Mickey's at $300 a tire.

Wish I'd waited a second so your wife could have gotton video of me getting up into that possition :)

Was a good reminder though just how capable these trucks are to see the "small" tire guys wheeling. It was also fun watching cause there was some skill there in going slow and not bashing stuff. Well, I bashed some stuff later... :)

I'm happy with the military tires too. The guys claiming they don't flex either don't know what they're talking about or aren't running 6,000 lb trucks. Do I wish they had side tread? Sure, do I wish they weren't on 16.5" rims w/ no safety bead? Sure, but I'm happy I'm not looking at a $300 tire with a tree stuck through it.
